Mercure Kamen Unna, Kamen

I had a good stay at this hotel, with clean and functional rooms, but the temperature was uncomfortably hot. The service was incredibly accommodating and friendly, making my stay pleasant. The location was convenient, just off the motorway, but it was next to some busy roads. The dining options were decent, with a great variety of choices. The facilities were satisfactory.

The hotel rooms were large, airy, and roomy, but my room was prepared only for two persons despite booking for three. The proximity to the motorway was noticeable but did not disturb my stay, making it a slight downside. The service, although the male receptionist was not the friendliest, was compensated by the big car park and a clean, very new-looking lobby. However, ordering food was a bit of a letdown with an undercooked salmon and mediocre steak, along with a potential billing error. The hotel's location directly beside the Autobahn was very convenient, especially for those with a car, and offered easy access to Dortmund, although a vehicle is necessary. The dining experience, with a basic selection and no a la carte options, was somewhat disappointing but had delicious options like amazing pancakes. Overall, the hotel provides a comfortable stay with some minor hiccups in service and dining.

I stayed at the Park Inn Kamen for 4 nights during a business trip. The hotel's location is very convenient, right next to an IKEA store, but there were high parking charges and noise from the shopping area outside. The rooms were prepared only for two despite booking for three, and there was a lingering smell of smoke in the room. The service, while the male receptionist lacked apology for the delay, the other staff were amazingly helpful. The dining was great but expensive, adding to the overall pricey experience.
